Hollywood Trainer / AB BlastI bought this video in a set of 5 videos. The workout is 20 minutes long and is only ab work. Its a great video for anyone looking to get that six pack. Jeanette is a great instructor, she makes you work until you feel the burn. Would recommend to anyone.

As a former dancer, perhaps this is why I find the workout challenging but fun.However, I also like the fact that I was sweating from head to toe in 15 minutes but did not feel like my heart was going to burst out my chest!The only downside is that the Jaana Kunitz and Julia Powers do not carefully explain the dance moves before really going into them.They also do not give you enough notice as to when they are about to switch moves.Even for a dancer, it can be frustrating.But stick with it! I love this DVD Set!!!!

Firm Basics: Abs Buns & Thighs Workout [VHS] Review

Firm Basics: Abs Buns and Thighs WorkoutI just recently started using the Firm Basics videos. I've tried to use
workout videos before and have quickly lost interest in them. All three of
the Firm Basics videos are great, but this one is my favorite. It's easy to
follow and fun to do. Oh, and I started seeing a difference in my body shape
after my 2-3 Firm Basic workout. I saw big difference after 10 workouts. And
at the end of one month I'd lost two sizes. I'd recommend this and any of
the other Firm Basic videos for anyone who want to start getting back into
shape.

Mindy Mylrea: All About Abs Review

Mindy Mylrea: All About AbsMindy Mylrea, the queen of functional fitness, presents three advanced-level 15-minute ab workouts on this DVD. The first one uses a medicine ball, the second uses a balance ball, while the third uses your own bodyweight. There is also a bonus 10-minute segment using Mindy's own "gliding disks".

You start the medicine ball workout by tossing the ball from hand to hand at waist height, then raising your arms higher as you keep tossing the ball from hand to hand. I wouldn't have thought of this as ab training, but as Mindy points out, "You'll notice that your abs are firing."Then you pass the medicine ball under each leg in a figure-eight pattern (it's handy to have a small medicine ball for this bit) then circle it around your body. Then you move to the floor where you repeat the same movements.As Mindy points out, "When you take your legs out of the equation, your abs fire a little bit more". This is lots of fun - it feels more like playing with a friend than doing an ab workout. This is followed by some Pilates-inspired moves and crunches using the ball for added resistance. Then you do split push-ups with one hand on the medicine ball, followed by pushups and planks with both hands on the ball. This is tough!

The balance ball workout is the most challenging - and the funniest. If you like seeing super-fit people falling off their balance balls, you'll enjoy this workout! It starts off with planks and pushups with both hands on the ball, then moves to one-legged planks with your elbows on the ball. A reprieve follows with opposite arm and leg lifts, and reverse crunches on the ball. Then things get really tough with pushups and pikes with one leg on the ball and the other in the air. Then there are long lever exchanges where you lie on your back with the ball held between your feet and crunch up to transfer the ball to your hands, roll ups using the ball for resistance, and side planks with the ball clutched between your feet as you raise your arm up in the air then tuck it under your body. At this point Mindy falls over. "I just did that to show you what it would look like!" she laughs. This is followed by some very tricky balance work on the ball, as Mindy falls off once again. "Just practice that on your own!" she says.

The bodyweight workout starts with a series of killer crunches followed by some Pilates-inspired moves. This is followed by Mindy's own variations of side planks, planks and pushups - she sure has a way of "toughening up" traditional exercises! After all this, you get a well-deserved stretch.

This is an advanced workout, but don't be scared off if you're at the intermediate level. One of the background exercisers, Susie, demonstrates modifications.

Mindy is an engaging, inspirational instructor who always seems to be having a blast. By the time you can make it all the way through this DVD you, too, will have abs of steel!

Buns and Abs of Steel 9 - Post-Pregnancy WorkoutMy baby is 3.5 months old now. I've had this video for 6 weeks, and wish I'd gotten it earlier.
Good Things:
1) Tape divided into shorter workouts that you can put in your day whenever you have and extra 10 minutes.Warming up, abs, thighs, and butt are all covered, plus some pushups.
2) I really did 'feel the burn' on these!
3) Madelaine is a fun workout leader, and is energetic - it really helps.I also like that all the women in the video had babies recently. Of course, they look alot better in their tights than I do right now, but, well, that's why I got the video!
4) She has one of the gals in her group doing exercises the way you do them if you still have the separation in your stomach muscles.
5) The exercises in each segment start easy and get progressively harder, so you can stop if you have to.
6) She doesn't ignore the upper body - you have to do pushups! Ack! Even though you only do a couple of sets, it makes a difference.
7) No special equipment required.
Bad Things:
1) I was wishing for more!
Definitely a keeper - I think that it would be good whether you were previously athletic or not - no matter what, after the last 3-4 months you were pregnant, some muscles are just going to need some work!

Billy Blanks Taebo Amped 2 Workout Dvd Set Rockin' Abs and Rockin' BunsThis DVD set is perfect for attacking and getting your abs and buns in shape. You can feel a difference after one workout and it is very easy to set up a routine that works for you. I recommend getting the amplifier so you can keep up the same pace and wont have as hard of a time keeping your balance. The pounds will really melt once you get into your routine. If you are thinking about getting this to try out, I suggest you go ahead and invest in the TAEBO AMPED with the amplifier (you get 5 DVDs and the amplifier). Trust me it will sound expensive, but once you get into doing TAEBO you'll realize that you actually saved money by getting the 5 DVDs and the amplifier at once. I now regret not getting it when I had the chance, because an amplifier by itself is $19.99.

All in all this DVD is still worth it even if you dont get the amplifier.
